December 5-6 2017, ENABLE hosted a two-day educational forum in Stockholm, to bring key stakeholders from across Sweden together to discuss the latest evidence, theory and examples of good practice. The event was organised in partnership with Swedish Elite Football, the Swedish Police Authority and the Swedish Football Supporters Union (SFSU).

The authors share their experiences, positive as well as negative, on the theme. They all argue that despite collaboration isn’t always easy it is a necessity and the way forward.

A Swedish version of our report on policing (published on www.enable-research.org in August 2016) is now available in a Swedish version.
The report goes on to provide a series of recommendations for the future development of football policing in Sweden. Central to these is the empowerment and coordination of dialogue based approaches to the policing of football supporters in Sweden.
